Research Interests:

My main research, clinical, and pedagogical interests revolve around contemplative science. My other research interests include Terror Management Theory, behavioral neuroscience, and aging and I integrate these interests with and around my main research interest. My comprehensive examination topic was the review of scientific literature of Compassion/Loving-kindness meditation and how this practice can be helpful for clinical and non-clinical populations. I am currently investigating the role of self-compassion on existential anxiety.

I am a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in neuropsychology. My background is in Statistics and Artificial Neural Networks. I received my MA in Experimental Psychology from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I am in Neuropsychology, Emotion and Meditation Laboratory working under the supervision of Dr. Al Kaszniak.
